Fragments of Life and Art: Dina Zaitev
To mark “TACHELES – Year of Jewish Culture in Saxony”, HELLERAU is dedicating its “Fragments of Life and Art” program series to exploring various facets of Jewish experience and artistic practice. The starting point is the historical and artistic connections to HELLERAU, which continue to have an impact right up to the present day.

Dina Zaitev is a visual artist, set designer, and theater and cultural practitioner. Her work bridges the boundaries between conceptual art and socio-political themes. For years, an examination of (family) history, identity and multiple affiliations within the context of her own post-Soviet, Jewish and German socialisation has been a major focus of her work.
