The five-day Easter holiday workshop by RADIKALE TÖCHTER took place from 3 to 7 April 2024 in HELLERAU. Young adults aged 16 to 21 from Dresden and the surrounding area were invited to join the Radikale Töchter on their journey: Get out of feelings of powerlessness and get into action (art)! This format combined cultural and political education with the aim of encouraging participation - not least in the context of the upcoming state elections in 2024.

In tense encounters, the participants, supported by artistic practice, developed their political stance and tried out ways to present it creatively and visibly. They travelled through Dresden to use action art - as a direct expression of a stance - to draw attention to the issues they are working on.

Because power comes from doing. Over the five days of the workshop, the focus was primarily on political action art, attitude as an artistic practice and dealing personally with one's own emotions. The workshop was rounded off with a final showing that brought the creative reflections and actions of the project into a performative form.

Overall, the workshop offered an intensive space for empowerment through artistic and political action - an invitation to find one's own voice, take a courageous stance and become publicly visible.
