In “Trailer Park”, ten dancers show how the digital world is changing our bodies and the way we interact with each other. They dance movements from the internet and turn them into an exciting show for the stage.

How does the increasing digitalisation of life affect our physical and social experiences? This question is explored in “Trailer Park”, a collaboration between tanzmainz and choreographer Moritz Ostruschnjak. Found objects from social media are copied and reassembled. Wearing bright sports shirts, the ten dancers celebrate a choreography of rapid changes and high condensations, swiping through movement styles, picking up on short videos, adopting viral gestures and group choreographies: A rousing re-translation of the virtual into physical space. Ostruschnjak's choreography emerges from the “pick & mix” and “cut & paste” of the present: a breathless remix of dance and sport - guaranteed to be popular.

Biography

Moritz Ostruschnjak found his way to breakdance via the sprayer scene and then to contemporary dance. He has been working as a freelance choreographer in Munich since 2013. Three of his productions have already been invited to Tanzplattform Deutschland.
