Rodrigo Zorzanelli performs, writes and produces in the Berlin independent theatre and performance scene. Rodrigo's work deals with non-binarity, feminist autofiction, invisible structures, bureaucracy and belonging.

Dey is currently working on the solo "multiple memberships", premiering at Ballhaus Ost on 18 May 2024. In the solo with Polaroid camera, Rodrigo stages performative self-portraits based on personal experiences of naturalisation and coming out as non-binary. The photos question bureaucratic categories by masking, shining and disturbing the space and the body.

The focus during the residency is on the further development of the text for "multiple memberships" in connection with the performance in the space with magnifying glasses, which are intended to make the live development of the Polaroid images visible to the audience.

On 18 April, an internal BIPOC-only Open Studio took place at HELLERAU, where Rodrigo gave insights into their research.
