Dreiländerlabor

During a one-week residency at HELLERAU  four experienced artists from Poland, the Czech Republic, Belarus and Germany were brought together - all with an established background in dance and performance. As so-called mid-career artists, they are at a point where they can already look back on extensive practice, numerous stage works and international experience - and at the same time develop new artistic questions and perspectives. The residency offers space to introduce each other to their working methods, artistic interests and individual developments. In a collegial exchange, aesthetic approaches, thematic focuses and the challenges of artistic work in the respective cultural and political context are highlighted. In addition to practical insights into their own practice, the focus will be on joint reflection on sustainable working methods, intergenerational exchange and the importance of artistic autonomy. The result is a dialog between four voices that are not at the beginning - but are open to new impulses, collaborations and questions about the future.
