Internship Press and Public Relations

HELLERAU - European Centre for the Arts performs year-round at the Festspielhaus Hellerau. Today, it is one of the most important interdisciplinary centres for contemporary performing arts in Germany and its program focuses on dance, music and performing arts. In the area of press and public relations, we are looking for an intern for a compulsory internship as part of a degree program or as a pre-study internship in preparation for a degree program.
Your tasks
- Social Media & Digital Communication: Assisting with the editing and planning of our social media channels, helping to maintain the website and updating external online event calendars.
- Video & Content Creation: Supporting the creation and editing of video content for social media - e.g. filming and editing short trailers, interviews or behind-the-scenes insights.
- Graphics & Design: Designing notices, information material and smaller communication tools using Adobe CreativeCloud programs.
- Ticketing & Audience Service: Regular support for our ticket sales at TU Dresden: Direct communication with students, advice on events and insights into our audience work.
- Press Relations & Media Monitoring: Collaboration in the preparation of press releases and the creation of press reviews on our productions and events.
Our requirements
- Students of communication sciences, cultural management, cultural, art and music studies, theater studies, language and literature studies or comparable studies with extensive previous experience in the social media sector
- Extract from the study/examination regulations as proof of the compulsory internship or pre-study internship as well as a certificate of enrolment (for compulsory internships)
- An affinity for culture and enthusiasm for theater, performance, dance and music
- Flexibility, ability to work in a team and enjoy working independently
- Very good knowledge of German and English required
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Experience in using Adobe Creative Cloud, especially InDesign, Premiere and AfterEffects desirable
