“Ljuzem's Walk” is an invitation to the audience to accompany the founder and artistic director of the Tjimur Dance Theatre, Ljuzem Madiljin, on a ritual journey through the garden city of Hellerau. Barefoot, in splendid traditional Paiwan wedding dress, Ljuzem Madiljin treads paths in Hellerau that connect the past, present and future. Depending on the significance of the places, she will silently perform a personal ritual on her path. In this way, she enters into a spiritual interaction with the place, the people and the time. All viewers are invited to join Ljuzem on this journey through life in a meditative atmosphere.

Ljuzem Madiljin is the founder and artistic director of Tjimur Dance Theatre and a lecturer at Tainan University of Technology. After graduating, she returned to her hometown of Tjimur Village in Pingtung County and began her career as a dancer and teacher. In 2006, she founded Taiwan's first contemporary dance company focussing on Paiwan aesthetics. She developed training methods, led international tours and initiated the TJIMUR Arts Festival in 2018 to promote intercultural exchange.
