Shortly after Christmas, the main stage will once again turn into a blazing dance floor where breakdance meets ballet, street style challenges contemporary dance, and hip-hop competes with pointe work. For more than a decade, the popular dance format “Floor on Fire” has been thrilling audiences with breathtaking virtuosity, creative moves, and the inimitable energy of the dancers. Mixed dance teams, including dancers from the founding generation, long-time companions, and new talents from various countries, show off their skills live, and a jury with audience participation decides on the best team.
