The farbwerk e.V. has been opening up spaces for joint artistic practice by people with and without disabilities for many years. The perspectives of artists with disabilities are central, equal positions that farbwerk specifically strengthens and makes visible in the cultural space.
Under the direction of Jacqueline Hamann and Franziska Kusebauch, the farbLab workshops make it possible to experience the working methods and aesthetic approaches of farbwerk's dance and theater work. Together with members of the new inclusive farbwerk ensemble, participants will explore movement, touch and design and open up new artistic spaces together.
Theme of the workshop series: “Encounters”
“Encounters” forms the thematic framework of a series of workshops in which participants experience the artistic practice of farbwerk by working directly with members of the ensemble.
The Workshops
The planned five dates will take up the themes of loving, working, being free, breathing and desiring one after the other, focussing on what connects people with these fundamental themes and where shared spaces of experience open up.
- Each workshop can also be attended individually.
- Participants can choose the topics that particularly appeal to them. The topics are listed in the respective workshop dates.
Closing & Showing
The five workshops are followed by a three-day final block. During these days, the material from the themed workshops will be collated and condensed into a showing.
Documentation & Participation
The work steps on the workshop days are documented using simple means such as mobile phone videos and sound recordings so that people who are unable to be present at the conclusion can also follow the joint process.
