Driven by a love of the lo-fi synthesiser music of the 1980s and the reduced song structures of nowave and Neue Deutsche Welle, the protopunk of the late 1970s and early Manchester rave, DRY SKIN play sometimes driving, sometimes stomping and sometimes flying new wave.

Thematically head of the band Robert E. Smith is reflecting his environment of a hyper-capitalist world facing the backlash of the countries it exploited for decades, ridiculous real estate markets, neo-fascist groups, people looking for a better future, and the individual within all this trying to find peace and love for their own little bubble.

Band members: Simon Herzog (drums), Bernd van den Broedericken (synthesiser and guitar), John Köhler (synthesiser and bass), Robert E. Smith (guitar, synthesiser and vocals)
