Experience and discover the joy of dance! In this workshop, we teach various basics of contemporary dance. The starting point for our dance and artistic journey of discovery are the company's productions. We immerse ourselves in the respective movement languages, musical worlds, and choreographies of the participating artists. The workshops invite you to explore, connect with each other, try things out, and discover a new language of movement. We welcome all participants aged 14 and above and take into account different levels of previous experience and physical abilities.
Workshop to the new work of Rosalind Crisp
In this workshop, we will learn about two improvisation methods developed by choreographers Rosalind Crisp and Ioannis Mandafounis, whose works can be seen in the DFDC's double bill BYWAYS. The live choreography methodology of Ioannis Mandafounis, choreographer and artistic director of the DFDC, enables dancers to create choreography live on stage. As one of the most important representatives of improvisation, Rosalind Crisp, guest choreographer of the DFDC in the 2025/26 season, has been continuously pushing the boundaries of what is possible for over three decades and is constantly developing her method. We will learn two methods in the workshop and expand our own spectrum of improvisation. There is reduced admission to the performances.
