HELLERtreff

HELLERAU – European Centre for the Arts thrives on encounters with artistic perspectives and approaches from the fields of dance, theater, performance and music. Through formats such as workshops, talks, exchanges with communities, educational institutions, the Hellerau neighborhood and all those who are curious, HELLERAU is also a place for new encounters and experiences.

Since the 2025/26 season, the name has been the program: HELLERAU meets treffen (encounter) – and that is exactly what we are all about: in our work at HELLERtreff, we meet, ask questions, come together, dance, open spaces (sometimes even hearts) and get to know new perspectives. For example, by collaborating with choreographers, dancers and interdisciplinary artists, we provide practical and theoretical impulses on contemporary topics in the performing arts. But we also want to engage in conversation at our regular neighborhood meetings and establish HELLERAU as a place that is interested in the stories of our historical heritage and its associated memories.

For educational institutions (schools, colleges and universities), we are a place of learning that strengthens personalities, which is made aesthetically tangible through pre- and post-talks, workshops, audition visits or new formats developed in cooperation. We are always happy to receive inquiries of any kind!

Our range of workshops is as diverse as our art and our audience: we offer programs for different age and experience groups in which people can dance, learn and try out new things. We are also always interested in new collaborations and are happy to support the development of new project ideas.
