As part of the "Immersive Sounds" series, a Sound Dome architecture will be installed in HELLERAU for the first time, both on the Main Stage and on the new Small Stage, enabling new forms of immersive concert experiences.

Six innovative artists were selected in an open call by the Spatial Audio Network Europe (SANE), who, after their first concerts at EFFENAAR Eindhoven, will now also be presented in HELLERAU:

  • Mariam Gviniashvili is a composer and sound artist working at the intersections of electroacoustic music, 3D sound, and multimedia performance.
  • Oliv Oliv (Olivier Terpstra) works as a composer, producer, and sound artist in the fields of synthesis, acoustic instrumentation, and storytelling.
  • Composer and performer Ferdinand Kavall's music emerges from an interplay of instrumental performance, electronic processing and spatial sound choreography.
  • Bianca Loffreda is a composer who works both in the field of electronic music as well as in contemporary chamber and symphonic music.
  • Pierce Warnecke is a multidisciplinary artist working at the intersections of experimental music, digital art, and video art.
  • Shasha Chen is a composer, multimedia artist, and performer who develops compositional, interdisciplinary, and collaborative projects as a form of “conceptual (new) music theater.”

In addition, musician and dancer JUANA will present a new project in spatial audio design, developed during her residency at HELLERAU in cooperation with Musicboard Berlin.

Furthermore, the catalog "BBWCXR – Black Box White Cube XR" will be presented, documenting the internationally curated symposium of the HYBRID Biennale 2024 by Maria Chatzichristodoulou and Bika Rebek.
