In revolver besorgen Helena Waldmann explores the ability to forget as a positive, liberating function of the human brain – and senses that the secret to happiness might lie there. With brilliant dancing by Brit Rodemund, a grotesque but upbeat and humorous dance piece is created, in which the compulsions and enticements of the idea of escape are considered and ballet used as a symbol for the lifetime of effort we put into conditioning our behavior.

“Helena Waldmann’s work is a stroke of luck for theater. This Berlin choreographer is a stage magician who knows that a piece only works if it employs illusions. And she is a critical, intelligent authority who questions social and political conventions via the mechanisms of theater. The senual and the thought-provoking always go hand in hand.” (Andrea Kachelrieß, Stuttgarter Nachrichten) Dance director Helena Waldmann lives in Berlin. She studied Applied Theater Studies at Gießen University and has worked with Heiner Müller, George Tabori and Gerhard Bohner.
