Breakdance. Contemporary dance. Then nine dancers meet somewhere. The unfamiliar is discovered. Spaces arise and are immediately transformed again. Obstacles are there to be overcome. Heights are for climbing together. This somewhere is full of energy. The fusion of different dance styles creates an energetic dance which begins somewhere (in Irgendwo) but never ends.

Malou Airaudo joined the then newly founded Wuppertal dance theater company in 1973 and went on to become one of Pina Bausch’s most influential soloists. CAFÉ MÜLLER and IPHIGENIE AUF TAURIS are the best known works arising from Airaudo’s cooperation with the dance theater icon. In 1984 Malou Airaudo became Professor of Contemporary Dance at the Folkwang University Essen. With the Renegade company she created SCHWARZE KATZE (2008) and, as part of “Renegade in Residence at Schauspielhaus Bochum”, IRGENDWO (2010) and DER VERLORENE DRACHE (2011).
