Constanza Macras / Dorky Park Berlin Elsewhere
ausverkauft: 23.02.!
In Berlin Elsewhere strangers meet in a place of mental slavery where captivity, madness and constant struggle prevail. They all suffer from the pathological side-effects of modern life, with neuroses ranging from bipolar disorders to consumer fetishism and nymphomania. How mad is normal in our society and at what point is one locked away? The dancers are stifled by their own everyday gestures of isolation. “You can’t only do yoga. Now and again you have to greet the doorman too,” says one character in the piece. They are the stranded; quintessential passengers. Let the madness begin.
Argentinian-born, Berlin-based choreographer Constanza Macras founded the dance theatre company Dorky Park in 2003. She combines text, video, live music and dance in her work. Constanza Macras received the most important German theatre award DER FAUST for her production Megalopolis in 2010.
