A dancer sees only herself: confined in a glass cube lined with mirrors, she moves lithely within the claustrophobic space, provoking people to look at her. The public witnesses her audible breathing, condensation on the sides of the cube, manic scribbling on paper, self-portraits. Making contact seems impossible: this is intimacy versus voyeurism – the self and the other. Both leave their impressions and marks.

Munich-born choreographer Anna Konjetzky made her breakthrough in 2009 with the solo Elephantengedächtnis, voted “best German dance solo” at the euro-scene Leipzig. In the same year, the piece dann still, created with composers Daniel Smutny and Volker Staub, was awarded the operare 2009 prize. Working scholarships have taken her to Israel, Senegal and Lithuania. Anna Konjetzky began her choreographic career in 2005 assisting Wanda Golonka at Schauspiel Frankfurt.
