Young Stage XS – ECHO/REMY & OKEANOS

Rahma Ben Fredj and Elena Cencetti (DE)

Tanz Performance Film

From the “Young Stage” festival originally planned with 13 projects for 2020, two projects will be presented in the XS edition on 20 July.

ECHO/REMY | Rahma Ben Fredj (DE)

Performance/Dance | ca. 1 hr. 10 min.

The dance performance is inspired, among other things, by the classic children’s book “Without a Family” by the French author Hector Mallot and by the Arabic-speaking children’s own biographical experiences, who stand on stage together with adults and are accompanied by them with live music. Throughout the play by Tunisian-born Rahma Ben Fredj there is a thread of painting alternatives to tragic children’s fates in the context of war, hunger, flight and displacement, where a bravely extended hand can make the difference between life and death.

Dance performance with children and adults from the independent theatre group “Remy”.
