How can we listen to ourselves in a new way? And how do we move musically in spaces of diversity, in their shifts and shades? We tell ourselves stories… In the “Amazon Stories”, outstanding soloists from a wide range of artistic practices – from Persian classical music to performative vocal art to zither and electronics – become a community of practice that searches for possibilities of “coming together” in a fractured world.
“Outernational” is an artistic research project around transtraditional music. In search of a contemporary, hybrid, creole new music, it presents outstanding soloists from diverse traditions. The series is curated by Elisa Erkelenz in close dialogue with all participating artists.
